Meghan was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She attended college at the University of Tulsa and Oklahoma State University in Theatre and Public Relations. While in college, Meghan worked for Grace Ann Productions and toured nationally and internationally in musical productions to England, Sweden, Australia, and Japan. While working for the non-profit, she developed her public relations skills and decided to open her own business. In 2004, Meghan started her event planning and public relations company, Concepts PR, which she later rebranded to Concepts Weddings & Events.
Meghan has also worked in the film industry in Los Angeles, California. She relocated for a couple of years to the West Coast to work on several projects, including a TV pilot that she developed. In 2011, she relocated back to Tulsa full time to work in the event and wedding industry.
After many years of pestering by then Artistic Director Randall Whalen, Meghan got involved with Theatre Pops in January 2014. She quickly moved up the ranks and became the treasurer for the board. In January 2015, she directed the Tulsa premiere of Tracy Letts’ August: Osage County at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center which won 1st Place at the Tulsa Area Theatre Excellence Awards later that year. In September 2015, Meghan was elected the Artistic Director of Theatre Pops after Mr. Whalen’s passing. Since then, Meghan has directed multiple shows for the company and performed with other companies in town. In June 2017, Meghan won a best acting in a lead role award for her portrayal of Catherine Givings in American Theatre Company’s production of In the Next Room, which went on to win 1st Place at the Tulsa Area Theatre Excellence Awards.
